About Me

I am a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) practicing in Ridgefield, CT.  I have one adult child from a former marriage and two young adult children with my current wife, with whom I have been happily married for more than 25 years.

In addition to my private practice, I serve as Executive Director of Ridgefield Youth & Family Services, a local not-for-profit agency serving those with limited means. I am contracted with the Town of Ridgefield to lead parent education classes aimed at building resilience in children and teens and decreasing the risk of suicide, substance abuse, and other risky behaviors. I also chair the Ridgefield Judicial Review Board, a diversionary program for first-time juvenile offenders.

My education includes a BA from Colgate University, an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and an MA in Marriage & Family Therapy from Fairfield University. Prior to becoming a therapist I was a Navy pilot, a senior corporate human resources executive, and a principal and practice leader at a global management consulting firm.

I believe that my diverse experiences -- marriage, divorce, remarriage, child-rearing, military service, flying, leading others, developing talent, working and consulting with clients from different cultures, and now counseling couples, youth and families -- have broadened my perspective and enhanced my ability to help my clients address a fairly broad range of issues.

My mission as a therapist is to help you to address your concerns and advance your goals. That is how I get my satisfaction. I am not in this to maximize my income.  As a result, I want to work with you only as long as you are receiving value, and will do my best to help you achieve your goals as expeditiously as possible.

I look forward to working with you.
